PADI Advanced Open Water Diver

In order to boost your self confidence and increase your level of diving skills, you can start with the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course immediately after your certification as PADI Open Water Diver.

Duration: 2.5 days.

During the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course you will make 5 different Adventure dives. The Adventure Deep Dive and the Adventure Navigation Dive are mandatory. According to your personal interests and skills your PADI dive instructor can assist you in selecting three other Adventure dives. What will you learn?

During the Adventure Deep Dive you will learn how to carefully plan your dive. You will experience, and learn, how to take into account the special challenges and physical effects a deep dive brings along. During the Adventure Navigation Dive you will enhance your navigation skills. You will learn how to navigate by compass. You will learn to measure distances by memorizing underwater landmarks, fin kick cycles and time measurement.

Who is the Advanced Open Water Dive meant for?

PADI {Junior}Open Water Divers with a minimum age of 12 are allowed to participate, Divers age 10 to 12 only are allowed to participate in selected Adventure Dives. Your PADI instructor can assist you in selecting suitable dives.

After managing three Adventure dives you are entitled to request your Adventure Diver certificate. An Adventure diver only needs to make two more Adventure dives in order to apply for the Advanced Open Water Diver certificate

Apply for exemption!
Every Adventure dive can be labeled as your first dive of a selected PADI Specialty. If you already have absolved a Specialty course immediately after certification as PADI Open Water Diver, consult your PADI instructor in order to take this dive into account as an Adventure dive
